RiverWebs in Japan

RiverWebs shares the remarkable life and legacy of the late Dr. Shigeru Nakano of Kyoto University, whose story crosses international boundaries and engages the human need to connect to others...other people, other cultures, and other species on our diverse planet. Themes covered in RiverWebs include:

Just like the community it features, the roots of this international film are in Japan. Fifteen of the twenty scientists and family members featured in RiverWebs are Japanese, and roughly one-third of the commentary is in Japanese. The film celebrates the rich natural history of Japan, and features footage captured throughout Japan, from Hokkaido to Shikoku.

Freshwaters Illustrated, a nonprofit organization, is currently fundraising to support a re-edited version of RiverWebs for Japanese television. We invite donations and grant invitations to help us reach this goal (proposal available upon request).
